2011 NFL Power Rankings: Final Edition

Final NFL Power Rankings?

1 (1): New Orleans Saints (13-3): The Saints, which won their final eight games, set numerous offensive records, including marks for passing yards (5,347), total yards (7,474) and first downs (416).?

2 (2): Green Bay Packers (15-1): The Packers are the team to beat in the NFC, mainly because they'll have to be beaten at Lambeau.?

3 (5): Baltimore Ravens (12-4): Baltimore was one of three teams that went undefeated at home.?

4 (3): San Francisco 49ers (13-3): San Fran went 6-10 last year. Not bad, Jim Harbaugh. Not bad.?

5 (4): New England Patriots (13-3): In the last two weeks, the Patriots were down 17-0 or worse to Miami and Buffalo, respectively.?

6 (6): Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4): The Steelers are the most injury-ravaged team in the playoffs.?

7 (7): Detroit Lions (10-6): Allowing Matt Flynn to throw for 480 yards and six touchdowns is a bit disconcerting.?

8 (11): New York Giants (9-7): The defensive line looks great.

9 (10): Atlanta Falcons (10-6): If the Falcons go anywhere in the playoffs, Matt Ryan has to take them there.?

10 (8) Houston Texans (10-6): Houston enters the playoffs having lost three straight.?

11 (9): Cincinnati Bengals (9-7): The Bengals were the one team in the NFL that made the playoffs with a rookie quarterback.?

12 (13): Denver Broncos (8-8): Let?s see if Tebow was just saving some magic for the postseason.

13 (14): Tennessee Titans (9-7): The Titans were the only winning team in football to miss the playoffs.

14 (12): Dallas Cowboys (8-8): The Cowboys lost four of their last five games and for the season went 0-4 against the Eagles and Giants. ?

15 (15): Philadelphia Eagles (8-8): Andy Reid deserves another chance.?

16 (17): San Diego Chargers (8-8): San Diego lost six straight after starting 4-1.?

17 (18): Arizona Cardinals (8-8): Arizona turned a 1-6 start into a respectable 8-8 finish.?

18 (22): Chicago Bears (8-8): The Bears went 1-5 after losing Jay Cutler.

19 (16) New York Jets (8-8): The Jets didn?t beat a single team that finished with a winning record.

20 (19): Oakland Raiders (8-8): The Raiders haven?t made the playoffs since 2002. ?

21 (24): Miami Dolphins (6-10): The Dolphins went 6-3 after starting 0-7.

22 (20): Carolina Panthers (6-10): The Panthers went 2-6 in the first half of the year and 4-4 in the second.?

23 (21): Seattle Seahawks (7-9): A 7-9 record didn?t cut it this year.

24 (23): Kansas City Chiefs (7-9): Hey, at least they beat the Packers.?

25 (25): Buffalo Bills (6-10): Buffalo went 1-8 after starting 5-2.?

26 (26): Jacksonville Jaguars (4-12): The Jaguars scored 14 points or fewer in 13 games. Not scoring makes winning difficult.

27 (27): Washington Redskins (5-11): The Redskins allowed 33+ points in four of their last five games. They lost all four of those games.?

28 (28): Cleveland Browns (4-12): The Browns scored more than 19 points just twice this season.?

29 (29): Minnesota Vikings (3-13): This franchise has underperformed each of the last two years.?

30 (30): Indianapolis Colts (2-14): The Colts officially have a choice to make.

31 (32): St. Louis Rams (2-14): The Rams were shut out twice this year and scored single digits in four other games.?

32 (31): Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-12): How does a team start 4-2 and then close the season with ten straight losses? That's unexplainable.?
