Nattative Research of the Nursing Prominent Teacher's Professional ...

Abstract

At present, China has entered the era of mass higher education. Colleges and universities have been expanding enrollment and growing ranks of college teachers. To strengthen the teaching staff and improve teaching quality has become the central task of colleges and universities. Nursing faculty of medical colleges are ?double-qualified teachers,? most of whom have not received theoretical study of education and systematic training of teaching skills. They have poor professional consciousness, few awareness of education and no professional identity as a teacher. They can not understand or master the law of education well. Such stagnation in professional development has become a major bottleneck restricting the development of higher nursing education reform.Excellent teachers are the essence of quality education, so their growth and development are of growing concern by the public. The narrative research method used in the thesis selects a good nursing faculty as a research object. By studying her life story of growing experience as well as educational research, I interpret how an ordinary teacher grows into an outstanding professional teacher. I start from the individual growing process of the model teacher. By taping key events of her growth and analyzing the factors that promote her professional development, I summarize the experience of nursing professional development so as to provide some inspiration and reference to administrators and teachers of nursing education. This study is divided into three parts. The first part is introduction, which describes the research background, the value and significance of the study. It studies the existing references and introduces the research ideas and methods. The second part describes the story of the excellent teacher?s nursing professional development This part uses narration, ranging from the personal experiences of education to teaching experiences, involving both description and interpretation of the experience of the teacher?s education, behavior and the underlying meaning of the thought and philosophy. The third part, I summarize the imprinted features of the teacher?s professional development and analyze factors promoting her professional development. Finally I bring up research results of the good nursing teacher?s professional development and her messages on other teachers in China. Throughout the individual growth of the excellent care teachers, I conclude the imprinted features as:being:rooted in the practice of nursing education, continuing self-awareness of professional development, highlightment of the autonomy of professional development, distinctive personal quality. The factors that promote their professional development have both internal and external aspects. Internal factors involve ideas, knowledge and attitudes. To be more specific, they refer to the concept of education and care beliefs, personal practical knowledge and professional development of teachers?self-expectations. Idea is the helm to guide and influence of teachers? teaching, lead the direction of their professional development; Teacher?s personal practical knowledge is gradually accumulated in the teaching practice. That is teachers?core knowledge in teaching practice and their foundation in educational and teaching activities. Professional development of self-expectation is the most important internal factor for teacher?s professional development; is the premise and internal power source of the realization of teachers?professional development. External factors, including the social status of teachers, school environmental factors, learning opportunities of further studies, role models inspire and team organizational climate. Externalities work through the internal factors, internal and external factors influence teachers to promote complementary to professional maturity.
