Tasks & Preferred Skills: This position requires an individual with exceptional project management experience on large, complex IM/IT projects. The successful candidate will be an organized, personable individual, who possesses excellent verbal and written skills, to handle a continuous and changing flow of tasks, and has previously worked within a Project Management Office (PMO). The candidate will provide project/program management services to support Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and other Uniformed Services in the development, management, and deployment of information systems. The candidate must also have: ? Experience in organizing, planning and coordinating contract support activities. ? Time management skills to keep goals and objectives of programs on schedule and within budget. ? General management skills applicable to managing program resources ? A working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Project and the MS Business Suite ? Effective written and oral communication. ? The ability to draft progress reports and project summaries, and to conduct briefings with client and management personnel. ? Proven skills in functional and technical guidance to managers, system administrators, and users. These skills would be applied to software and equipment deployment, identification and triage of problems, and assistance with trouble call status. This includes training and Military Health System (MHS) end user support.
Clearance: Minimum of an adjudicated National Agency Check (NAC) Security Check, active secret clearance desired. US citizenship is required.
Educational/Work Experience: ? Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or related field and five (5+) years of project management experience. ? PMP or DAU equivalent highly desired. ? Three years specialized experience and in-depth knowledge of tasks, specifically oriented to Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Department of the Navy (DoN), and/or Department of Defense (DoD) procedures, processes, system and organizations is highly desirable.
