In the hopes of gaining a smidge more market share in the US, Sprint has just announced that it will offer what amounts to unlimited everything (text, data, voice) for the life of service on any line.
The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee is described thusly:
The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee guarantees customers unlimited talk (calls to any wireline or mobile phone), text and data while on the Sprint network, for the life of the line of service. This guarantee is applicable to both new and existing customers who sign up for Sprint?s new Unlimited, My Way plan or My All-in plan. These plans and The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee are available starting July 12.
Both the Unlimited, My Way and My All-in plans offer unlimited everything starting at $80/month. The former is geared towards families with varying types of devices (smartphones, feature phones, etc.) up to 10 per account. And if you're looking at capped data plans, Sprint says its options are cheaper than its competitors. Which doesn't make much sense considering the price difference for data, for instance, is $10. So unlimited data under this plan would cost $30, while 1GB of data for a smartphone is $20.
The All-in plan is unlimited talk, text and data, with the option of 5GB for mobile hotspot usage for $110.

The catch? Other than staying with Sprint, there doesn't seem to be one.
How The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee Works:

All customers on an Unlimited, My Way plan or a My All-in plan will have unlimited talk and text guaranteed for the life of the line of service.

Customers who select unlimited data on an Unlimited, My Way plan or a My All-in plan will have unlimited data guaranteed for the life of the line of service.

The guarantee will apply to customers as long as they remain on the plan, meet the terms and conditions of the plan and pay their bill in full and on-time.

The guarantee is non-transferrable.
